This Sand Filter from Advantage Manufacturing is used for above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons in size. It uses 175 lb
(roughly 3 bags of #20 silica sand from a local hardware store ie Home Depot) to filter out debris 20-25 microns in size.
It has a 6 position valve which allows quick and easy backwashing of dirt from the filter medium.
